Mind -Body Connection and how this affects our health

Most of us will acknowledge the link between stress and disease but how about our beliefs/emotions and disease?

The subconsious mind has no concept of time. To it everything is in real time and happening right now. It prefers direct instruction and takes everything literally.

Being aware of the messages we give our subconsicous mind can help us change undesired behaviours and help us attract what we want in life instead of want we don't want.

If you keep telling yourself your unlucky, a failure, have no money, are fat or unlucky in love that is what your subconsious mind is hearing and attracting into your life.

We are all guilty of this at times. I for one aim to love myself more and only talk to myself the way i would to my best friend. I certainly wouldn't constantly call my friends fat and ugly! Why do i do it to myself? We should all love ourselves more, take a compliment without starting to put ourselves down. Being modest is over rated.

On a subconscious level the beliefs we form about the world at around six became the basis of our thoughts today. If we formed the belief we are unlucky we would notice every time we lost, missed out on an opportunity or didn't win a prize. You would stop noticing opportunities, stop seeing times you would win, stop taking part.. your subconscious mind will prove you right.

I am not good at managing money and have realised that a saying i often heard in my childhood home was 'We will never have any money'. I believe this programmed me to never have any money. I was literally programmed this way. When i have money i spend it quick and can never save. Through the use of emotional freedom technique I am working on re-programming my subconsious mind to be able to deal with my finances in a healthier way.

How does this relate to our health?

Have you made a connection between your physical symptoms and your thoughts and feelings? Emotions are triggered by people and external events but are often supressed. Emotions are energy and suppressing them causes the energy to become trapped in our bodies leading to dis-ease.

By paying attention to your symptoms it is possible to discover the cause of your dis-ease.

Bladder issues- As the bladder expands and shrinks it is indicative of your ability to adapt to your circumstances rather than get stuck in old psycho/emotional patterns.

Ask yourself:

Are you getting stuck in old emotional places?

Are you attached to the past and unable to move into the future?

If you are unable to expand within yourself you may have problems with frequent urination. It can be indicative of not wanting to deal with deeper feelings. They are being released quickly so you do not have to deal with them.

Frequent urination

Are you feeling an urgency or hurry to do things?

Are you feeling squeezed by circumstances?

Are you taking on more than you can cope with?

Is there too much stress or fear in your system that needs to be released?
